Customer Load Profiles
IMPORTANT: Notice of time change for SDG&E Dynamic Load Profiles
Beginning on April 4, 1999, at 1 AM, SDG&E will post Dynamic Load Profiles (DLPs) in Pacific Standard Time (PST). SDG&E recommends that you make any necessary changes to your systems now in advance of this time change for posting DLPs.
SDG&E currently posts its DLPs to its Website in Daylight Savings Time, which is consistent with PX prices. SDG&E will also provide notice of this change on its Website. Questions regarding this change in time format can be addressed to Leslie Willoughby at lwilloughby@sdge.com.

An Electric Service Provider (ESP) is a non-utility entity that offers electric service to customers within the service territory of an electric utility. Participating in DA allows electric customers to shop and compare electric commodity rates and services provided by electric Energy Service Providers (ESPs). Customers that…

Keeping Safe in Stormy Weather
When a storm is headed your way, make sure you’re prepared. Keep up-to-date on the bad weather and about what the next three days will bring. Prepare for flooding by moving your valuables to upper floors, and always keep the fuel tank on your vehicles full.
During the Storm
Don’t touch downed power lines or broken gas lines and report them immediately to the SDG&E, the police, or the fire department.
If evacuating, disconnect all electrical appliances and turn off electricity at the panel, gas service at the meter and water at the main valve.
Stay informed of the weather conditions.
Avoid low-lying areas that might flood.
Do not attempt to cross swift-moving water that is above your knees.
If your vehicle stalls in the water, abandon it immediately. Two feet of water is enough to carry away most automobiles.
Restrict telephone use.
Prepare an evacuation kit that includes personal hygiene items, clothes,…

Distribution Integrity Management Program
Project Overview
Through our Gas Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP), we routinely and systematically evaluate risks to validate the integrity of gas pipelines and to identify problems that could compromise the pipes in our system. This evaluation process has been in place for decades to detect leaks and proactively repair and replace at-risk pipeline segments.
More recently, state and federal laws have imposed new requirements on pipeline operators like SDG&E to inspect and test their systems – all for the purpose of increased pipeline safety. Certain pipe segments have been identified for replacement based on a number of considerations, particularly early vintage polymer or “Aldyl-A" pipes. Aldyl-A pipes were deployed extensively in the 1970s and 1980s for suburban areas. DIMP pipe…
