SDG&E’s Total DA Load Allowance is 3,942 GWh.
All certified 6-Month Notices to Transfer to Direct Access Service (6-Month Notices) received during the June 2023 enrollment period have been placed on the Y2024 Wait List. The Y2024 Wait List is in effect January 1, 2024 and expires December 31, 2024.
The next Direct Access Enrollment Period will be held the second full week of June 2024. SDG&E will begin accepting Six Month Notices to Transfer to Direct Access on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). Customers or their authorized agents may submit Six Month Notices during the five (5) business days beginning Monday, June 10 and ending Friday, June 14, 2024 at 5 p.m. (PDT).
Accepted Six Month Notices will be entered into a lottery to determine their random numerical position…

What is the Direct Access (DA) Program?
California utilities provide electricity to homes and businesses by generating the power, transmitting it through major power lines, and then distributing it through smaller power lines. The DA Program gives you the option to purchase your power from electric marketers and power brokers called electric service providers (ESPs). SDG&E will continue to provide reliable transmission and distribution services to you, including to those customers who choose DA service.
